So what is MapleStory Adventures?

Its a Facebook RPG, like a mini MapleStory. You get to choose from 2 jobs, magician or warrior. Basically, you fight monsters using your energy, (which like every Facebook game replenishes in a certain amount of time) collect items, and have send gifts to your friends! It has all the essence of a typical Fb game! Aore comprehensive guide to MapleStory Adventures here.

The Closed Beta testing period ended already and will be back at the end of July! So for more updates about the game, there's MapleStory Adventures and the Facebook page.

[MSEA] Thank You Maplers Event 5

Here are the details for the Thank You Maplers Event 5 – MapleSEA 6th Anniversary Giveaway Package!

We will be giving out 1 Special Package randomly to 66% of Maplers in MapleSEA that fulfilled 2 simple requirements that login from 22nd June 2011 after minor patch to 1200hrs, 24th June 2011!

So the two requirements are that your maple account has to have a level 50 and above character, and has logged in 6 times between March 22nd to 21st June.

That's quite a big pack of special package! Total amount of cash that they are giving out is a whooping 38,400 Maplecash! Equivalent to SGD$38.40. Which is why I am very heartbroken I'm one of the 34%. Man! That's quite a lot of things to miss out on!

[GMS] Chaos in GlobalMS

Chaos has officially landed in GlobalMS! Basically, its a patch after the Big Bang patch which introduces.. Chaos into the game! Technically, it comes in 3 parts update in KMS (Return of the Hero, Technological Age and Super Fight), but 5 in GlobalMS.
The different phases are all dated accordingly already on the GlobalMS website. Soon it'll be MSEA's turn! Below are a brief description of the different phases of change Chaos is going to bring about.

It has the same essence as Chaos that came out in KMS. Except the 5th update. What is it!? Shall update when they've posted on the GlobalMS webpage! For now, more about Chaos in KMS here and here.

Can't wait for it to come out in MSEA! Its just the way they make it sound so grand and massive and.. well chaotic. I wonder which is better, being in a server where patches are released later so you can get all the information beforehand, or in a server where surprises spring all the time!

[MSEA] Non-stackable evolving ring!

Today, 15th June, is the last day to upgrade your Evolving Ring II from Cody at the event map! So if you have tens of mules just to collect the ring, go make them tradable now! However if you're going to use it for yourself, I would advice you not to make it tradable because then, it acts as a free seal for your evolving ring!

Mine became tradable though, because it was Level 16 on the last day and the last upgrade made it Level 17 and tradable. What a pity!

I went to on to google forums to check if the evolving rings were stackable and some heavily implied that they were, as long as the level of the Evolving Ring was not the same. I spend 75mil to learn that that was not the case.


"You cannot equip multiple Evolving Ring II at the same time."

All the best to you and your ring! Maybe I'll wait for a really long time later to sell the tradable Level 16 Ring.

Spadow no longer blogging!

Ok big news to the Maple community, whether which server you are in. Spadow announced that he won't be continuing his blog anymore!

"This was a really hard decision for me. I have decided to pull the plug on my blog."

For those who don't know who Spadow is, he's a blogger who plays kMS. His blog is updated with the latest updates and information in that server.

There are numerous forums and comments regarding him not blogging anymore. Frankly, I was like "Nooooo!" because his blog is awesome! Its one that I go to check for new things that are coming out in kMS. Which translates that these updates, whether patch, event or new characters will come out in Msea. Then the usual drill happens. For traders, it'd be stocking up of the particular job's equips and scrolls to sell, and for players, stocking up to prepare for the release.

Ok so we all have our different motives for viewing his blog. But his blog was by far the most comprehensive, interesting Maplestory blog that I've come across. And now many others following in his footsteps to create similar blogs too, I guess there will be a larger pool of blogs for me to get my sources now.

So I was surfing through all the tabs of Maplestory blogs and I came across http://nisrockk.wordpress.com/. First Msea based blog that I've seen so far. For kMS updates, I shall start referring to http://shakar96.wordpress.com/.

[MSEA] Big Bang post II

The server has been really unstable these days. Let me sum up the extent of it.

Since the Big Bang patch was released, there have been 10 urgent maintenance and server checks, all in a span of 3 weeks. In addition, there was the major rollback, login issues, lagging issues and the urgent surprise checks never seem to solve the problems! (There is one currently going on right now)

One good thing did come out of the rollback, I learnt how to post on a forum about the rollback! I had to resort to that since there was no information on the webpage or the facebook page, which made it seem as if the developers were covering it up...

Anyway so, another good thing that came out of the Big Bang patch as the leveling! The exp system was revamped to make leveling easier, perhaps, a bid to attract more players? They won me over. I actually went to train and rid myself of the 122 I had for around 6 months and moved on.. to 123! Such a pretty number.

Lets look at a case study.

This Battle mage become 100.. in a span of a week!?  know cause he's my friend. Credit goes to the 2x exp event that was given to Aquila as a compensation of the rollback, but that's a triple digit in a week! True, some people are just hardcore trainers but hey to me, that's really fast.

Sadly, I'm not the training type. Maybe I'll reach 200 in a couple of years!

[MSEA] Big Bang post I

Here's a Post-Big Bang Post! The Big Bang patch was released on 18th May 2011 on MapleSEA. Frankly, I'm rather confused with the terms Big Bang, Rise of the Resistance and all the new hot words these days. I haven't been following much, I guess.

So Big Bang is like a pre-patch before the new Resistance characters come out. Changes for levelling, stats, maps, party quests, normal quests, monsters, skills are out in this patch. Pretty much, everything has changed. The maps were the most confusing ones, to me. I took an hour trying to Google for Irene. Forums took me to the top of the pharmacy building in Kerning, but not until I climbed the rope at Port Road: Six Path Crossway and found Irene

did I realise those forums were probably talking about some other servers. Boy was I glad to see her familiar face again after searching for an hour. Good thing Maple characters don't sweat after walking for a really long distance.

At long last, my hometown! Complete with that toy machine thing we see under HDB blocks, constant reminders to be good citizens and our very pride and joy - 2 large durians!
