[MSEA] Chaos is here to stay: Halloween Event Part II

So. I collected all of them! It was so terribly hard, but now that most people are already done with this quest I doubt the map will be as crowded as before. So we head on back to Lyudmilla to continue on our quest! (Oh you get a cute little masked gentleman hat upon completion of this)

Preparation for the Party - Tuning of the piano next!
Really, I have no idea how to proceed with this quest. I tried killing the Busted Dolls but it seems like they didn't swallow it. Will update again!
_
So it ain't the busted dolls! Its in a Doll Workshop above the Chimney!
So you through the portal and up, and kill the destroyed dolls till they give you the tuning hammar, then go to the piano in the main hall (1st level). And you can go start on Sophilia's quests!

Sophilia's strange behaviour: she's fearing the same thing that happens every Halloween Party. Hmm what is it? So she tells you to get Big nail (from hitting boxes in the Doll Workshop map) and Doll stuffing (from killing Destroyed Dolls at the Doll Worshop map) and tada.

A broken clue. So, Sophilia tells you to check the wreckage of the carriage (remember the old newspaper?). The carriage is at the Abandoned Graveyard (remember the Jack-o-lanterns and Graveyard Stirge?) Click it, and alot of ghosts will appear. Rid them all, click the carriage, you'll get the clue: A Deer Emblem.

After going to Sophilia, she will tell you to go to see Lyudmilla about the emblem. If I were her.. quest. She talked something about how its from Blatchford? After obtaining that teeny weeny information, go back to Sophilia and start on The Revealed Emblem!

So we go on to the Frame room to check out the faceless photo of "John Blatchford". Refer to previous post on how to get to the frame room! Apparently someone tampered with the photo, so go back to Sophilia to tell her that. And move on to If I were him..!

Go check out the butler in front of the fireplace chimney thingy on the 3rd floor of the main hall. The Talisman for Sophilia starts! Go to Guest room 2 (top right corner) and bring Pumpkin Knight's Talisman to her.
And start on If I were Joey... Its gotta do with the brooch in the attic, and some Joey in the Hidden Room. You get there by going to the frame room and clicking on some Sophilia's picture. There is an arrow pointing at it. And you meet Joey for A Deal with Joey! (Duh) His request is rather weird....and he looks like Crayon Shin Chan!

Source: http://zidaneex.blogspot.com/2011/01/crayon-shin-chan.html
Anyway you're supposed to go to any hair salon in town and pick up a clump of hair on the floor. I couldn't find it at Henesys's hair salon, neither in Singapore. I ended up finding it in Kerning's hair salon. Wheew. There, it looks like that.
Joey will tell you whatzup with the contract with the devil and what 100 souls to the devil per year etc. Off you go to Sophilia to start Burning the Invitation quest! Because the Masked Man is evil, I must rid the invitations by sneaking into the Masked Man's room! What a mission! (LOL) His room is the last room in the narrow corridor, which has always been locked till now.

Its a jump quest OMG.
Stand on the books and all. I suck terribly at jump quest and I'm so relieved that its so short! So once you're done, go through the portal and you'll go to the Masked Man's room and take the Masquerade invitation! But you won't be able to pick it up, so you are to go back to Sophilia. (Please don't let me go through the jump quest again!!)

Jonas's plan will appear as a lightbulb! Off to ghost room 4 (extreme right of 2nd floor) to kill fire steeds, get 20 invisible cloth (which really, is white in colour) and go find Jonas! (At the doll workshop) He'll give you a transparent mantle to cover the piano with it! That's for Getting rid of the piano.

But it doesn't work cuz the piano is still there! Our mission failed! Stupid magical piano, go find Jonas to tell him that! He'll tell you to go find evil Joey for help at the hidden room. The final mission. The last mission. It better be!! This string of quest is soooo long.

Quest Special Item for Deal. So the price of asking evil Joey for help is Sophilia's hair. Seriously, what's with this guy and his fetish for hair?? After getting her hair to him, he gives you an Evil Hammer to smash the mask. I can't help laughing here. Evil hammer?? Really??

Whew you're to go to the Masked Man's room so you gotta pass the jumping quest part. I did it! On my first try! So relieved. Click on Gloomy Mask to start Plan into Action, the 2nd last quest! You smashed it with your Evil Hammer, man! I'll have to wait for tomorrow to do the last quest: The last Halloween Night.

Pfft what a long day! Hope this helped lots!

[MSEA] Chaos is here to stay: Halloween Event

Chaos has finally docked on MapleSEA's port and there is a torrent of changes and events for Maplers! And when I mean a torrent of events I really mean it. So lets start from the Halloween Event! (19/10 - 7/11)

Haunted mansion is back, and to get there, accept the invitation to haunted mansion on the lightbulb above your head and proceed to Mirror of Dimension. There's a daily chain quest in there, and there you go, you just finished quest "An invitation from Haunted Mansion".

When I first started, its really confusing because its a mansion, so there's tons of rooms and portals and you have to get to specific locations!

For quest "Preparation for the party - Cleaning up the library", you are asked to go visit Ludmilla in Jonas's room.
Just enter the portal at the right of Masked Gentleman of the 2nd floor (in the huge map named: Mansion Main Hall) and you'll go to Narrow Corridor. Jonas's room is the first (out of the 3) portal you see. Ludmilla would then tell you to go somewhere to kill 44 Rideword P, which is the portal on the bottom right of the map. They're rather simple to kill, around 7-8 times of "999" damage each.

Strange attraction - Old newspaper, click the light bulb on your head!

And when you head back to the library, an Old newspaper NPC will be there. Talk to it and you'll start to know a little about the mystery. Something about a fatal accident outside the Haunted Mansion on November...

You can start on the next day's quest if you missed it out! So here goes: Preparation for the party - Cleaning the guest room. Head back to Jonas's room and find Ludmilla/ Lyudmilla and she'll tell you to eliminate Ghosts in Guest room 3 (extreme left of second floor). There's always this arrow pointing to the right portal to guide you along the quest, how considerate!

Really, there's Green Phantoms. Once you're done and talked to Ludmilla, you've have the lightbulb quest thingy again! So go back to Guest room 3 and talk to the Mysterious Graffiti. So the mystery continues, its drawn in red and you can't understand it and it freaks you out. Hmmm.

There, next, the dress quest! Ludmilla requests you go the attic to fetch it, which is the extreme left portal of Jonas's room. You'll see a dress chest. Stand near it and click it once and you'll trigger the safety thingy. Ghosts will appear and you've got to kill all of them before you can hit the chest to open it and obtain the pretty blue dress of Lyudmilla's. There's Preparation for the party - Party Dress for you!

Same thing, lightbulb again and head on back to the attic for Strange Attraction - Old Brooch. And you'll find out that there's words engraved on it "Death, is like a contract for you and me. And to prove it forever..."

Preparation for the party- Lightings goes like that. Lyudmilla will tell you to get 5 candles. To obtain this, head on to the top left hand portal (Guest room 1) and kill the Busted Doll and some will drop Halloween Mansion Chest Keys. All you have to do is drop the key in front of the chest and the candle will appear! Like this:
Back to Lyudmilla, then Strange attraction - Faceless photo in the Frame room, which is the middle portal beside Jonas's room's portal. (Faceless photo actually sounds a little scary to me!) Story goes like this, a name "John" behind the faceless photo. Whutzup with that?! Then Masked Gentleman appears and rebukes you for your constant curiousity.

Preparation for the party - Decoration.
That's the portal left of the Entrance of Haunted Mansion. And its full of people telling you to cc. So I did and I'll wait for when there's less people!

What I learnt, there's alot of things to do if you're preparing for a party! And you could do the quests as a party, those that you have to kill a certain number of monsters. Its faster like that.
Well, it goes on and on, with the same pattern, I guess! Shall update when I've finished all of them! I'm actually curious about the mystery now man!

[MSEA] Sept/ Oct events!

Well, this post is a little late. There are a couple of updates, and there's Chaos coming to town in 4 days!

Saving Gaga event
Previously, Grandpa Moon Bunny at every town would bring you to the map to save Gaga, but now, you have to go to the event map (via the Mirror of Dimension at every town) and find NPC Naomi.

Then you get to save Gaga through a jump quest. There are a few tricky parts that you have to take note, especially at the end where you have to jump onto the platform Gaga is on, or you'll fall down and have to repeat the entire course!
After you save Gaga every 10 times, you get a happy ring and subsequently random rewards. Scrolls for the ring, I suppose? The glitch where you can get as many rewards as you want have been fixed already.

Scroll the happy ring and you'll be happy! How corny does that sound. 1 happy ring per character, if I'm not wrong. The exp after every round is according to your level.

Next event on the list is..Oktoberfest Celebration Event!
So, to get a ticket to go into the Beer tent from Joyce, hunt 40 malt and give it to her. You can enter the Beer tent map with the ticket!
Inside the Beer tent map there's low-level (1x~3x) drunken monsters and Milla will give you quests to eliminate 40 of each monsters and you'll get rewards! The first time will be a German Sausage Hat which has wonderful stats, but alas is available for limited time!
It makes one look like a huge goon when wearing it though, its worth the laugh! I do think the Beer tent map is really nice too, it looks perfect for a fancy tea party~

And there's new seal cushions too! In addition to the "legendary" pink and blue seal cushion, there's grey and gold seal cushions from the Great Halloween I-Gacha. All the new items, check them out @ http://maple.asiasoftsea.com/news_events/view/the_great_halloween_i-gacha/!

That's all, folks!

[MSA] Constant updates to MSA

MapleStory Adventures is constantly updating to satisfy your desire for cooler interface and adding in more things to do besides going around killing monsters!

For one, you can now change your hair or face for coins or Facebook credits! So whenever you're sick of your look, or your look doesn't match the equips you're wearing, fear not, plastic surgery to your rescue!

Well, its not considered very expensive either, if you save up or keep visiting Yulete to craft "Pocket money" recipes. As compared to in-game where you can only change your hair or face with lots of cash.

New places to explore too! New maps have been added in for you to explore, new monsters to chase after. Irene is even here with her plane to fetch us to a faraway land, Mushroom Castle Wall Edge! Find her at Kerning if you want to go over to the Sky Scraper maps.
Find Irene and plane at Kerning City
Sky Scraper map
There's incorporation of Monster Book as well, just like in MapleSEA. I haven't figured out the "EQUIP" button under the 5 stars yet, but once I've killed 20 more King Slime I shall be enlightened!
Other changes include the increase of skills and making it easier (less coins, less skill permits needed) to learn and upgrade them!

Its great that they keep revamping and making MSA more interesting with new dimensions and new places to explore. After all, its still a new game that can possible develop much more, I think! But I have to admit, I'm slightly bored of it already!
